2026 - 2027 Jasmine Youth Leader Charter

The Jasmine Board has created a new Youth Leader structure for the 2026 - 2027 term. The new structure is composed of two major functions: one is focused on Give-Heart community services such as dance performances and cultural exhibitions by invitation, led by Daphne Valenta (Youth Give-Hearts Director) and Katie Chen (Vice Director); and the other is focused on website management and internal communications, led by Alice Chen (Youth Communications Lead), with team members including Sophia Yu (Webmaster) and Cynthia Xu (Webmaster). 

The Give-Heart community service program (established in 2011) will continue to provide opportunities for our youth members to participate in cultural enrichment activities by using their special talents, and to actively recruit volunteers to serve the local communities all year round. 

The Jasmine website and communications team will provide fresh content and timely report of events to our audiences, and maintain the quality and accuracy of our website to ensure it’s a reliable source of information for our dance group. 

In their new roles, the new Youth Leaders held a team meeting to kick off the new session on August 29, 2026. We want to congratulate the new leaders again, and wish them an exciting and successful new term! We also wish the Jasmine Youth program to continue to serve as an important pillar in the Jasmine Chinese Dance Group.
