​There is no better way to lead than by example. At Jasmine, leadership is reflected not only in performance, but in service, dedication, and a commitment to uplifting others. Each year, we recognize youth members who embody these values through the Jasmine Youth Star Awards, honoring those who go above and beyond to serve both the Jasmine community and the community at large.

​This award recognizes students who consistently contribute their time and effort to strengthening Jasmine’s programs and outreach. As explained by Jasmine’s founder and president, Jinsong Zhang, the Jasmine Stars Award is intended to “encourage youth members to be more active in participating in community service and to acknowledge their contributions.” Throughout the year, the Jasmine board carefully records volunteer hours, including work in event coordination, teaching assistance, website management, and cultural performances, all of which reflect a shared commitment to service and generosity.

At the end of each year, youth members who have gone above and beyond in their engagement are honored with the Jasmine Youth Star Awards. This distinction celebrates dancers who actively serve their community through leadership, cultural participation, and mentorship, recognizing their meaningful impact both on and beyond the stage.
